HUGE Thank You to all who attended One Word at a Time's inaugural virtual gala last Sunday - Kwame Alexander's Wimpy-ton Reading Ball celebrating literacy, community and the readers we're raising! A time was had, y'all!
Thank you to our gracious and deserving honorees: Julia Quinn (Book-Lover's Award), Mychal Threets (Reading Joy-Keeper Award) and Jeff Kinney (Reading Game-Changer Award). They were funny, they were engaging, they were insightful and they are so committed to helping One Word at at Time make reading fun and cool for kids!
Thank you to our Board - especially Board President John Haynes III and Julia Torres who gave such inspiring speeches about their involvement and belief in One Word at a Time.
If you missed the live event, you can get the recording for viewing at your leisure through May 15th for just a $50 donation to One Word!
Until next time!
Read with JOY. Write with POWER. Change the WORLD!
