Book-in-a-Day
Monday, March 7, 2016
Book-in-a-Day is an engaging and empowering literacy project that teaches students the fundamentals of creative writing and book publishing – all in one day. The intensive hands-on program, created in 2006 by Kwame Alexander, has launched thousands of K-12 authors in hundreds of schools across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. The program is also the inspiration for Kwame Alexander’s Page to Stage Writing Workshop, a literacy program/manual published by Scholastic Professional for educators who want to bring Book-in-a-Day to their own classrooms.
